Delete your account

Option 1 — delete it in the app

This is the fastest way, and it does not need us.

1. Open 麻雀友 MJY and make sure you are signed in.
2. Open the menu and tap your player name to open your profile.
3. Tap 刪除帳戶 (Delete Account) at the bottom of the profile sheet.
4. Confirm. The app signs you out and the account is gone.

The game keeps working afterwards. You can carry on playing on your own, or sign in again later — which creates a brand-new account, not the old one.

Option 2 — ask us by email

If you no longer have the app installed, or the in-app button will not complete, email hello@wolley.uk from the address you signed in with, and say that you want your 麻雀友 account deleted. We may ask you to confirm that you control the address before we act on it.

What is deleted

Deleting the account removes all of this from our servers:

• Your sign-in identity — the account record itself, including the email address it was created with and its account ID.
• Your profile — display name and profile photo.
• Your avatar image file, removed from storage.
• Push notification registrations for your devices, so the account can no longer be reached on them.
• The link between your devices and the account in our app-event records, so activity recorded on a shared phone before you ever signed in is no longer associated with you.

Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no recovery window and no way for us to restore an account once it has gone. Residual copies in routine encrypted backups are overwritten within 30 days.

What is kept, and why

• Purchase and billing records. Subscriptions are bought through Google Play or the App Store, not from us. Those stores hold the transaction record under their own policies, and UK tax law requires the seller to keep the record for six years. Deleting your 麻雀友 account does not cancel a subscription — cancel that in the Play Store or App Store.
• Support correspondence. If you emailed us, the thread is kept only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request and to show that a deletion request was handled.
• Anonymous, non-identifying records. App events that carry no account and no device link stay as aggregate counts. Nothing in them points back to you.
• Advertising data held by ad networks. Free-tier ads are served by Google and Unity, which hold advertising identifiers under their own retention policies rather than ours. Ads are non-personalised in this app, and you can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's own settings.

Data on your own phone

Your settings, table preferences and local game history live on the device and are not part of the server account. Deleting the app, or clearing its storage from your device settings, removes them.
