Privacy Notice
This notice explains how Wolley Ltd handles personal data when you use the 麻雀友 app on iPhone or Android. The app can be played without creating or signing in to an account.

1. Who we are
Wolley Ltd is the controller of personal data described in this notice. You can contact us at hello@wolley.uk, or by post at 20–22 Wenlock Road, London N1 7GU, United Kingdom.
The same notice covers both versions of the app. Where the two platforms genuinely differ, this notice says which one it means.
2. Data the app handles

The app does not ask for your precise location, your contacts, your calendar, your files, or your phone number, and it has no access to them. Account data is linked to your account and is used only for app functionality. It is not used to select ads. The app does not serve personalised ads and does not use advertising data to track you across apps or websites. On iPhone it does not request Apple's tracking permission; on Android it does not link the Google advertising ID to your account. Wolley does not sell personal data.
3. Playing without an account
You can use the core game without signing in. Your player name, preferences, and purchase entitlement can be stored on your device.
Playing with people in the same room. Devices find each other and exchange the player names and game information needed to run the table directly, over Apple's local connectivity technology on iPhone and over your local Wi-Fi network on Android. Nothing goes through Wolley and we do not receive the contents of those local games.
Playing over the internet. Quick match and private tables run on Wolley's own game server. The server sees the moves of the table, the display name and avatar you are showing, and any voice clips you send, because the other three players need them. It does not read your messages for any other purpose, and a table's data is discarded when the table ends.
4. Service providers
We use a limited number of providers to operate the app:
- Supabase provides optional account authentication, profile database storage, and avatar storage.
- Google Sign-In processes information when you choose Google sign-in. The app may receive your email address, name, account identifier, and profile photo from that flow.
- Google Mobile Ads and Unity Ads deliver non-personalised ads to free-tier players and may process device identifiers, advertising data, approximate location, app interactions, crash logs, performance data, and other diagnostic information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and analytics. Subscribers do not receive ads. See Google's Privacy Policy and Unity's Privacy Policy.
- Apple distributes the iPhone app and processes its in-app purchases. Google Play distributes the Android app and processes its in-app purchases. Wolley does not receive your full payment card details from either.
- Wolley's own game server runs online tables. It is operated by us, not by a third party.
Providers may process data outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms and contractual protections. We require providers that handle app data for us to protect it to a standard consistent with this notice and applicable law.
5. Lawful bases
We process optional account and profile data because it is necessary to provide the account features you ask us to provide, and we process online table play, including any voice clips you choose to send, because it is necessary to provide the multiplayer game you asked to join. We process support communications to answer your request and for our legitimate interest in operating and improving customer support. Where law requires consent for ad-related storage, access, or data processing, the app uses Google's consent form and does not request ads unless the consent platform says it may do so. For other limited ad delivery, measurement, security, and fraud-prevention processing, we rely on our legitimate interests in funding and protecting the free service. Where processing depends on your choice — sending a voice clip, opening the QR scanner, selecting a profile photo — you can decline or withdraw the microphone or camera permission in your device settings, stop using that feature, or ask us to remove the data.
6. Retention and deletion
Optional account and profile data is kept while your account remains active. Voice clips and the state of an online table exist only for the life of that table and are purged when it ends. Support correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably needed to resolve the request, maintain necessary records, and meet legal obligations. Local app data remains on your device until you change it, delete the app, or erase the device. Google and Unity retain information processed by their advertising SDKs under their own policies and retention controls.
You can delete a signed-in account and its associated profile data in the app by opening Settings, selecting your profile, and choosing Delete Account. You can also request deletion by emailing hello@wolley.uk. The account deletion page sets out both routes and what is removed. We may ask you to verify that you control the account. We will complete valid requests without undue delay, except where law requires limited information to be retained. Signing out or deleting the app does not by itself delete a server account.
7. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to certain processing. You may also withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis. Contact us to exercise a right. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or to your local data protection authority.
8. Security and children
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure. 麻雀友 is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data.
9. Changes and contact
